Re: Just bought a new shogun cant wait!

Sounds just about exactly what I bought.
i have a V2, brushless motor from evo flight and matching ESC, carbon blades and paddles, HS 56's, 50 o tail, I cheesed out and only got a rate gyro, should have gotten an HH.
MY shogun flies really well, you'll like yours. Just keep the headspeed down, my heli at 85% overpun the head and blew the tail up at above 3000!
2200 to 2400 flies really good.

Thanks for the heads up on speed. How do you tell how fast its going w/o a tac.? Is it on the radio setting as far as throttle position?

Re: Just bought a new shogun cant wait!

There is a headspeed calculator that will give you your headpeed.
You need to know your motor's KV rating, and the number of cells you are using, then you can adjust the pinion gear size to get the proper headspeed at 100% throttle.
www.e-helis.com has one I think, you just click on the motor, batt, pinion, and type of heli and it gives you your headspeeds.
