| i recently bought a li-po for my zoom and got a of-cut of carbon fibre with. I need to trim it down to size and fit it to heli. I am unsure of what tools to use, grinder, saw, drill ect. as this is my first time i'd need to cut and form C.F. Also what would be the best way to attach this exrension to the frame of the heli. Can anyone please give me some advice. Many thanks Rhino. |

| Re: zoom battery tray extension Dremel tools work well with CF that is what I use all the time and I made some cf parts for my Voyager E.As for putting it on the heli you can use small screws or CA glue either one will work well for that. | Re: zoom battery tray extension I agree with Moe. The dremel is the best tool to use because it cuts so fast that it does not disrupt the carbon fibers. But, if you use a dremel, you must, must, must use a dust or particle mask to protect your respiratory system. CF dust is very harmful. Or you can have a shop vac aimed at the piece you are cutting so the dust immediately is sucked away from the work area. Anyway, just my two cents. Thanks. MJ |
