22#E RX (4 in 1) Problem

Hey there heli people,

I have a burning question.

My friend and I bought 22#e's

Mine, fine, a little worse for wear, and just rebuilding the head at the moment.

My friends, got his. Metal headset, standard battery.

Now, his RX, heres the scenario:

Batterys charged, switch on
throttle up slowly, blades spin, a little more faster (not terribly fast, i think they should be going faster at 1/4 stick) tail starts rotating, a little slight more push and ZIP! Nothing, the blades stop, the tail keeps on going, and no responce from the controller..

Help?

hehe thanks in advance, hope i have provided enough info for a solution..

Luke n Sam

Sorry to tell you but it's probably time for a new 4in1. To be sure hook the main motor straight to a battery to see if it spins & quits, if it doesn't then its the receiver. I'm parting out my 22e to fund another heli if you need parts cheep.

OK cool thanks,

But how would I connect it straight to a main battery? What kind of battery?

I live in new zealand so parts to this side of the world would be good, but postage is the big price!

Thanks

The main motor should have a JST connector on it. What I've done is make a JST to Walkera adapter out of old connector ends I saved. Just make sure you have the polarities right, Walkera motors dont like to spin backwards.

Cheers for the help!

Now this may sound weird.. but how in the world do you take the plugs from the servo's out of the RX?

I seem to be snagged, it comes out about 2mm, then its like its locked in somehow?

Thats the famous Walkera crappy fit and finish, just pull straight up till the plugs come out. Remember to pull on the plug not the wires.
