| Re: Wake UP 36 PEOPLE! What's going on out there? Isn't anyone else flying their 36s? Right now my 36 is the best flying heli that I own. Smooth as silk! The alloy head really helped and the tail is finnally locked and holding. Pure joy!

| Re: Wake UP 36 PEOPLE! Well, I crashed the 36! Flew into a tree and bent it bad! I thought that the wind had caused the wreck but after the aw sh-t topsey I found that I hadn't Loctited a screw in the head and it suffered a spontainious dissasembly. And my new CF blades came in the day after! Anyway the 50 is broken in and ready to test hover!

| Re: Wake UP 36 PEOPLE! That really sucks! ![]() It always seems to be the little things that bite the hardest. My 36 is down for a wile also. Until I get the one way bearing replaced its sitting in the case. I have the new one all ready to install. I just hate that you have to tear down the hole heli and split the frame to get the main gear out. ![]()

| Re: Wake UP 36 PEOPLE! There's an easier way! You can remove the main shaft and the screws at the top of the frame. Then you can spread the top of the frame and remove the upper bearing and the thrust bearings. Next remove the see saw out of the front of the frame and then with some wiggling and struggle you can get the main gear out of the frame. The hard part is reinstalling the bearings on reassembly but take your time and it works great. I just replaced my main gear as it was one of the casualities in my crash. It took less than ten minutes! The rest of the heli is another story though.

| Re: Wake UP 36 PEOPLE! The last time I had to replace the mane gear I did it the way you described. And your right getting those bearings and races back in can be a real b****. I was just thinking if I gotta tear it down to do the one-way I might as well replace the main shaft bearings also. Its been about 5 months since I last serviced them and their the about a year old. Guess I just got a little lazy about the maintenance on my 36. ![]()

| Re: Wake UP 36 PEOPLE! Mine's getting a complete rebuild. Actually I'm making one out of three that I have laying around here! It should be better than new when I'm done. I'm just dissapointed that I didn't get a chance to try it with the CF blades that came in right after I crashed. At least I didn't crash with the new blades!
