dose anyone out there have a walkera 60 with brushless motor that eats pinion gears. If you do could you tell me how you fixed it. my motor is aligned with the main gear and the mesh looks good to also the pitch on the main head is good going from 0 to 9 degrees but after about an 1 hour of flying time I have to replace the pinion gear... again. I can't figure this one out. wdwcheli.

| Re: walkera 60 I do not have the 60, but make sure that you do not have gear mesh and pinion too close. I use a small strip of paper to check how close the pinion is to the gear. If you can turn the gear and it pull the paper in without getting too tight then it good. Antman

I am thinking about trying to fly my walkera 60 upside down for the first time. Does anyone out there have any pointers on how to get started. Also do I have to reset my pitch and throttle curve. I have also notice that when I set my pitch up to fly upside down then in normal mode my pitch is only about 0 to 4 degrees. any comments on that. wdwcheli

Re: walkera 60 i moved the main motor which is attached to the pinion closer to the maingear and now the pinion last a lot longer. I have a walkera 60 and the brushless motor is set at one postion when manufactured by walkera so i took my dremel and change the mounting holes on the frame for the brushless motor so i could move it closer in towards the main gear and now it seems to be doing better. As for trimming, most of the time its adjust as you fly... but on mine also, it is never perfect. the more i fly it the more i learn. i know one thing the metel cnc head for the walkera 60 needs lots of improvements. setting the pitch is a nightmare and also it wobbles because it dosen't fit down on the main shaft far enough... i finally went back to the plastic one which came with it...now it flies great.

Re: walkera 60 If you are only getting 4 deg posative pitch it sounds like your head needs setting up At center throttle - with motor disconected A. swashplate should be level and in center of travel - with trims centered B. flybar center ball should be in center of travel fly bar level and paddles horizontal C. Pitch should be zero Once mechanically correct then switch dip 10 on and mode switch into normal mode use V2 to adjust pitch servo travel to get +9 deg then adjust curve as outlined below 0%.......Throttle -2 Deg 50%........."........ 0 100%......."........+9 Once normal pitch curve is set switch mode switch to 1 stunt mode 0%......Throttle -10 Deg 50%........"........ 0 100%......".......+10 When done switch dip 10 to off position to save changes, mode switch to Normal mode and test at that. Hope this helps......David PS you can go as high as -11 to + 11 with a good setup but you are probably best to stich to 10, you start heli up in normal mode then switch to stunt mode @ 55% throttle. also check throttle curves synchronise or you will get a nasty kick when you switch mode's
