walkera 4#3 newbie hello everyone, im a new pilot and have got myself a walkera 4#3 (buzzflyer). im having a few start up problems, but they've been going with practice. however lol, i kinda keep breaking it an i wondered of anyone had any experience with these models. the blades and everything have stood up really well, but ive got to get a new tail boom, tail wire and rotor head assembly. i can report however that it took a great deal of punishment and would recommend it to others. i did get a e-sky belt cp first, but found that it wasn't quite as crash resistant as the micro one lol

Re: walkera 4#3 newbie i did get a e-sky belt cp first, but found that it wasn't quite as crash resistant as the micro one lol You have a good point, I just got a 4#3 because I thought it would be fun,,, well, it is! I got it with the intention of using it as a in-door heli to practice with. I know it's not a CCPM heli but it's great practice. No problems with this one. Had to level the swash plate and that was it.

Re: walkera 4#3 newbie I spoke to soon.....I do have a problem. I'm getting throttle and servo jerking. The throttle cuts out about every 2 seconds and the red light on the receiver goes out during the throttle cut out. It's like the receiver is loosing power, I have two batteries and their good, what should I check next? thanks

Re: walkera 4#3 newbie The 4#3 is a great little indoor heli - head is a little fragile though - Not good to learn on - being so small and fixed pitch it needs a good zap of throttle to get it up and then basic hovering skills to get it stable - and its just too small to put any sort of trainer's on. So if you are getting there dispite o few bumps helicadet well done - I would not have liked to learn on one of these.Regards David

| Re: walkera 4#3 newbie I just got my 4#3. Definitely not a heli for a new flyer. Once set up and trimmed properly, it's a surprisingly stable little bird, but there is a bit of learning curve. It's very squirrelly and you have to be very careful not to over correct.

Re: walkera 4#3 newbie I got this idea from another forum. I ajusted the flybar paddles to 3 deg. pitch up, and it made it much more controlable!!!

Re: walkera 4#3 newbie Added a heat sink to a new main motor and cut 3mm off the trailing edge of the main rotor blades and she's flying really nice!!
