I am looking at getting the 4#3b for my first bird. (After becoming completely bored with my Picco Z...) I am not able to go out much so I need something indoor to play with. I have found a site that has the Training Landing Gear Kit for the Walkera 4#3 Helicopter and many other upgrades available, but I am worried and want to know what is you would recomend for me. I live in the states and there aren't any enthusiests in the local area to practice with or learn from. I am looking for anyone who is stateside with an idea of what I can do. I have a very limited budget and will likely not be able to go anywhere other than the gym, the house, or the cove I live in for real practice and fun. We are in an area that has quite a few heli-eaters (large trees, flocks of birds, power lines, and dogs and cats) so I need something that is smaller and less expensive. After reviewing 30's I have found them too large to be practicle in this area, so I asking about anything else including the 4#3. I can get the 4#3 for $69US and the 6#3b for $99.90US and that is about the limit of my finances.
I need something that is calming and just for me with my family's problems and I want something my daughter can enjoy watching me do as well since she can't go out much after her radiation and during chemo-therapy. I realize I will need many hours of practice, but I need something for me. Something that I can enjoy that my family can watch as well. (That takes my PS2 out of the picture.)
I have a few places lined up that can help me with upgrades I can do to the Walkera 4#3, but I don't know of any other small more versatile or less expensive options that will be easier for me to train on. Any ideas are welcome, and I would love to get some feed back.
Anyone wanting information on any of the things I have posted is welcome to contact me. If you have any information on other options please contact me as well.
Thanks,
Zags
