Walkera 53-1

They say it has a radio range of 2500 feet! Is this true?

Re: Walkera 53-1

I guess its possible. But I defiantly wouldn't recommend trying to get that kind of range with Walkera electronics. You would probably start getting some interference, glitching and lockout before you ever got to that distance.

Yeah, I could not see it that far away. Mine only gets about 40 feet away from me!

Re: Walkera 53-1

Had a great flight yesterday at sun set. The winds where out of the south at 2 mph. I flew her about 100 feet away and 30 feet up once! this heli handles very well, but if not for the training gear I think I might have rolled it over on one of the landings.

Does anyone know if I can use a 7.4v 800ma 2cell? The 53#1 came with a 7.4v 1250ma 3cell. I know the voltage needs to be 7.4, but can you use diffrent ma?

thanks

You can use the 800 but you'll lose some flight time.

Re: Walkera 53-1

Ma is millamps. If your heli came with a 1200 ma battery I would not use an 800 ma battery. It could cause the battery to overheat and start on fire. Motors are the load in the circuit, they draw current and you should never go with a battery that puts out less then what the load can draw.
