2 Quick Qustions for the 37?

Where can I find, how do I find the tail servo mount parts for changing the rudder servo position? What parts needed? And, would the Futaba 6EX PCM be a good Tx, Rx, and servo combination for this heli and a noob? Thanks!

Hello,
Just get those parts for the 36. That's what I used on my 37. You can order them from Helidirect.
The 6EXH should be a great setup for an electric Heli or you could go with the Spectrum if you want.

Wow, thanks! I really appreciate the help! I've seen your posts all over every heli website and I know you know your heli's! That's cool! Thanks for the help and anything would be greatly appreciated. The rudder tail mod is for the 36? So the servo tail mounts etc or on heli direct? Thanks. Gotta get a new motor set-up also. Align seems to be way to go. What powers your 36 BH?

Re: 2 Quick Qustions for the 37?

Hello again,
I run a clone of the 430L that I buy from YCPIN on Ebay. You can usually get the motor and the esc together for around thirty bucks! Comes with the pinion gear and connectors although the gear is for the Trex and gives a very high head speed so I change it to an eleven tooth that I get from Helidirect.
The tail servo mounts for the Trex will also fit the 37 and I currently have the entire tail boom assembly for the 450xl on mine. It fits perfectly but you need the longer belt that sometimes comes with the boom.
I turned my 37 into a Trex 450xl clone with the 325mm pro blades and the tail Mod.

Re: 2 Quick Qustions for the 37?

Wow, you really know this heli! So it's an ok heli to start with? Better than the Blade CP, which I just sold after never attempting to fly. The 37 I got off ebay with all aluminum head and tail upgrade. It came with another 37 for parts for $60 total. It has an upgrade motor and esc but one doesn't work. I'll buy the clone from ycpin you suggested. Also, should I buy a DX6 or Futaba 6EX for this heli? I like the 2.4 idea! But if I don't need it the 6EX looks like a great radio! Keep the help coming if you can, I would like to go that TRex clone route, once I learn to fly this thing! Thanks again!

Re: 2 Quick Qustions for the 37?

The 37 is a very responsive Heli but the CP is more difficult to fly because as you will find out the bigger they are the easier they are to fly. The first time that I flew my 36 after starting out with a small fixed pitch (Sabre) I was amazed at how much more stable the bigger bird is, That is after the adreninalin rush wore off!LOL
The hard part with a CP is getting it setup correctly.
As to the Radios I love my Futaba but the 2.4ghz stuff is the future because of the lack of interference problems so if you fly around other RC pilots like at a club you might want the Spectrum and as you will see on the forums the guys that have them love them also.
Huey
PS get rid of the stock servos as soon as you can, They are JUNK and will make you Crash!

Re: 2 Quick Qustions for the 37?

Hi dm5656
Just a little friendly advice hear. Pleas don't make your decision on witch radio to buy based on what you are flying at the moment. Think about where you intend to go with the hobby. The radio system you choose is probably the most important investment your going to make. If you buy the best you can afford based on where you intend to be in 3 years you'll actually be saving your self some money. Its better to grow into a system than constantly upgrade to something that suits your needs at the moment.
There's nothing wrong with the ones your talking about now. There all good radio's . But at least take this in to consideration before you make your choice.
I personally prefer Futaba. Its just a little bit more user friendly. But that's just my opinion.
