Good deal! The alloy head is completely different from the plastic one and is the same as the one on the 60. I bought one of these for my 37 but got a bad one that literally fell apart for me so I went back to the plastic one.
That is I think a very good deal for the radio system but the Walkera escs are notoriously BAD. The G006 is a good gyro, and I had better luck with one of them in rate mode than with any other gyro I've tried yet but i had to setup revo mix in my rx to make it perfect. Even so I still like the way that they work.

Cool

Awesome,

I'll actually be swapping out for that new motor and esc you run, you said go with 11 or 12th pinion? Glad to hear that the gyro works well. What is "revo" mix? Such a noob here! Those spektrum servos should do the trick you think? All of it should link up ok I think? I haven't read any posts with problems yet. What does the alum head and tail do? Give a better response and more stability due to weight? Thanks again!

I run an eleven tooth pinion as that gives a headspeed close to 3000 rpm with lots of power.
Revo mix is a mix in the radio that is used to help hold the tail better when your not using a headding hold gyro. You turn it off when in HH but I really had my G006 dialed in with it so I just used it that way. But you couldn't do advanced 3D that way so thats why HH gyros came long.
Anyway the G006 has HH and it is a good gyro. All of Walkera's gyros are pretty good except for the G001.
The alloy parts should have less slop in the linkages and look cool but I waited to go that way because they cost more to repair as you will find out.LOL

Hi dmb5656
That's a grate deal on your Spectrum combo. That will help to make your heli experience a lot more enjoyable. Now comes the fun part. Learning to program a new TX.
Actually its not that bad. Just tack some time reading through the manual and you should be able to pick it up pretty quickly.

Nice collection of vehicles. I only have the Savage X. I was after something that I could take out and beet the h*## out of. Heli flying takes a finesse and serious concentration and sometimes you just need to go tear it up. The Savage fit the bill perfectly.

Hey Huey
I was just noticing that your posts are all the sudden up over 400. At first I thought that maybe Val had recovered the lost Walkera forum. ???????

Set up

Thanks Baby Huey! I'll be looking to start setting up this week, in between G3.5 lessons Really looking forward to experience flying. Danimal, you are correct when you say "beat the @*ll out of something!" That savage is a beast. Truly relaxing and fun! I can see the heli giving me fits but I look forward to the challenge! The most difficult part will be getting it set up and tuned just right. I can tune and set up any nitro vehicle eyes closed...I've built around 8 or so, but have absolutely no experience with the birds. There are A LOT of interworking pieces and linkages. Been reading but sometimes it's a foriegn language! It'll come with time an patience. I'm going to try to get a few pics up soon so you guys can look 'em over and maybe help with some troubleshooting and tips for set up! This forum is becoming so helpful! Thanks.

No recovery, Val just restored my numbers because most of them were in the Walkera forum.
Just took old indistructable (the 36) out in the snow, strange experiance, lots of up and down drafts but fun. Looked like a snowball when I was done with it. Boy am I rusty! Laid it over in a drift looked like a snowblower!LOL
No harm no foul. Ha!

Hey Huey
OK now I understand. I was wondering how you did some 275 posts in one day. OUCH!!!!!!
If that forum hadn't been lost I would be up around 460.

I didn't get to spend any time hear yesterday because I was out flying all day. I finely got the chance to try my hand with a Raptor 60 and wasn't going to miss that. The deal was if I let the guy that has the raptor take my Mini-T out and put it through the ringer he would let me do a couple slow passes with the raptor. O YA was it ever worth it! Not only did I get the chance to fly a big 60 nitro. But I also got to see what my little Mini is capable of far beyond my flying ability's. I' got some video I'll try and get posted in the next few day's.
Oops I think I'm drifting off topic hear.

It may be a good idea to tare down your new heli and closely inspect every part before doing any thing else. Especially since someone else had started working on before you got it. Those ebay sellers are real good at hiding things. I learned that the hard way with my second 35.

That's great,
I would love to get a try with a big nitro bird. Are they as stable as I have heard? I know that I would be too nervous to know what I was doing as the adrenalin still flows when I fly my little electrics.
If I ever get my 50 cobra together I will probably have a heart attack the first time I try to fly it! Anyway keep the posts comming as I always wanted to help get a 37 thread going.
