Mini Titan motoro temperature

I have measured the temperature from my motor today after hovering a 3s 1800mah pack through it & it was 50C, does this seem normal or is it to hot?

Regards
Ross

Re: Mini Titan motoro temperature

50C is not to bad if all your doing is hovering. You could bring that temp down a little by making some adjustments to your throttle and pitch curves. If your running the stock BLC-75 motor they seem to like to run a higher head speed around 2600 to 2700 rpm. You might also be able to bring the temps down some by opening up more of the vents on your canopy to get some more air flow through it. I noticed in your picture that you only had the two side vents open. You'll probably see the temps come down just by opening up the two on the vary bottom of the canopy. But really 50 is not bad.

Re: Mini Titan motoro temperature

Thanks Danimal, I have since opened up the front vent, the 2 bottom vents & the one on top of the black plastic. To be honest I haven't checked the pitch/throttle settings as I used the ones from my blade 400 3D, will have to have alook when i get 20 mins spare, I'm afraid the trex 600 is taking all my time at the moment.

Regards
Ross
