A question for 3D

I started to perform some 3d maneuvers, my engine is a Thunder Tiger .91, with no pump, when I turn my bird upsidedown I lost around 400 rpms but the engine holds, then when I turn it back to normal the engine recovers,
so I tried to make several loops in the same point trying to keep the X axis constant but Im scared to lost the engine. Any help or suggestions will be great, An engine with pump should help????

Re: A question for 3D

sorry i have been away for awhile, your revs problem when inverted could be just over pitching when going to negitive pitch. do you have a govenor gv1, rev lock throttle jockey etc. that would sort out the problem

Re: A question for 3D

if it does not seem to fix it check the gv1 sensor is working, some times the sensor might have moved with the vib. from engine etc. and if the revs are not being picked up by the sensor then the gv1 will not keep your revs down.oh and good choice with the gv1. I have had three different ones a gv1 throttle jockey and rev lock 20 the gv1 was the best I think anyway.

Re: A question for 3D

Is the Governor set up to be activated by a switch? I have thought about one..but the Predator I have seems happy enough at the moment.

How are you finding the 90 Mgarciah? I bet its good fun!

Re: A question for 3D

yes you can have it turned off and on by a switch or you can have it coming on when you are at 25% stick. I have mine on switch mode but i use the same switch theat gives me mode 1 mode 2 and normal then i have the three setting to allow me three speeds. normal set at 1750 mode one set at 1900 and mode two 1950. I also have dr set higher on mode two so the 3d is faster. and yes I do enjoy the 90. it is expensive when i crash it but the flying inbetween crashes is great. fast powerful and sounds great. also is fine on windy days it still flys just as well.....get one they are great.

Re: A question for 3D

Ok, now I just installed a OS91 SX H w pump, Governor is installed controlled by the swicth with three speeds 1500, 1800, 2000, it was great to find that the cooling fan in the 90SE has the holes for the magnets, very convenient. Now Im break in the engine and then we will see what happens.

Thumbs up Re: A question for 3D

yes it goes together quite nice. I think your 1500 might be a touch slow and your 2000 a bit fast, what blade sizes are you useing, 690 or 710? I am glad of my 710 saturday forgot about fuel, was having a great time beating back and forth doing stall turns, half way around one of them engine stopped and I got to do a great auto right to my feet first one in anger.
