| Re: 611 gyro???? GY611 is tricky, it can work under three different modes, as a Rate Gyro, as an AVCS Gyro and as both (CMT). If you plan to make 3d maneuvers the AVCS mode will be great, and if you are planning to make autos a RATE Gyro is needed. The RX gain channel offers a limited and fixed range output, and from the TX point of view it always give you 0 to 100% Gain, if you set the Gyro via the Gyro display as an AVCS, all the range will be interpreted as AVCS going from 0 to 100%, the same if you set the GY611 as a RATE gyro, but if you set the GYRO as CMT you can change its mode from the transmitter, here the history change a bit compared with other gyros, When the GY611 is in CMT, below 50% is a Rate gyro, above 50% is an AVCS, not so different, BUT in order to get a better gain resolution once the GY611 is in RATE mode its gain will be rescale from 0 to 100%, this means that from the Transmitter point of view once you get to 49% gain you really have 0% RATE gain, when you get 0% TX gain you will have 100% Rate gain, in the other side once you get 51% TX gain you will have 0% AVCS gain, when you reach 100% TX gain it will gives you 100% AVCS gain, this means that for each 1% that you increase your TX gain it will be interpreted as a 2% gain by the Gyro.
