A question to people who fly .90's

Would a .90 be a mistake for a beginer over a .50? I know the parts are more when I crash. A .90 machine just seems nicer due to it's size and weight. The small electrics I fly know have no tolourance for the wind, and are very skittish.The TT Raptor .90se seems like a really nice machine. I know I'm going to crash, but why not get what you want first off and save upgradeing later.I'm going to get a nitro bird no less than a .50. I say, eat beans and save for parts. Fly safe and use common sense. Don't jump the gun and do things your not ready for. AND PRACISE ON THE SIM EVERY CHANCE YOU GET. I've got the Realflight G3.5 and have been using it for quite some time. The bigger heli is more stable and therefore better to fly--- you get more out of it in the long run. Any thoughts on helping me decide would be appreciated. Thanks alot. Chris.

Its entirely up to you what you learn on
There are plenty of guys out there that have learnt to fly on a 90 size and even gassers
You are already aware of the difference in costs for Parts but what you will not be prepared for is the sheer raw power of that size of heli

if you do go this route Just take your time (baby steps)be gentle with the sticks and never try anything untill you have thought out an escape Plan if it all goes tits up

Hi there I am a new member, living in the uk. I have being flying raptors for only eight months. I started with a 30 after two weeks got a 50 hyper for it and then sold it and got my raptor 90 from ebay. its great my two mates that fly with me both have 50's and i go faster higher and hover in the wind better and so far my crashes have not cost me more. In fact twice now i have lost it, hit T. hold gone to pick up the bits to find a have only broke a link or two and have flown again that day. my point is, it is better than a 50 and if you hit T. hold quick you might only brake servo gears and some links. but i have had a boom strike trying autos and it cost 175 pounds to put right. go for it 90,s rule the skys

I have a question for any one over in the USA where do you get your bits from over there. can we get them cheeper if we got our bits from your shops let us know a few prices so we can compare

My rule of thumb is that a crash...where the heli can fly again....will typically cost about one third the value of the airframe....so the more expensive the heli...first cost...the more money you will splurge on repairs.

I own a Predator gasser...parts are quite cheap....but would be cheaper in the USA...but trying to buy direct was a painful experience....might try again sometime in the near future.

how is your Predator gasser at 3d stuff how much are they to buy. can you get parts in uk easy. I would love a gasser the y fuel bill is killing me but a like the power of the cspec 91
