| What upgrades should I get?? I've recently started flying and have purchased a raptor 30. I was just wondering exactly what type of upgrades should I get. There are so many available on the market today that they can't all be worth buying. So, I was wondering if I could get some advice from those who have been there. -thanks |

| Re: What upgrades should I get?? Only thing thing Id get right away are carbon blades, You don't really need anything else till you can fly around comfortably. Save you money for repair parts.

| Re: What upgrades should I get?? If the control horns from the servos to the swashplate arent ballraced then it might be worth upgrading these....the control will be that little bit more precise....other than that I would get a couple of crash kits....and loads of fuel. Like Kaji said....you want plenty of airtime before going for the extras...if you spend loads of money on a heli and decide you dont like it you will probably never get that money back.....a blinged up heli can be worth a lot in upgrades....but second hand value? Carbon blades are ok....they will be more slippery so will help increase the power....but be careful and dont overdo the headspeed....I still use wooden blades as they are good enough for me. Rob |

| Re: What upgrades should I get?? Hi as you said some have being there and i have. i had a bit of a competition with a friend too see who could bling up their 30 the most. we both spent over 1400 pounds UK. doing this, but when we went to a club that only Helli's we were embarrassed when they were flying around great doing stunts, but when we looked st what were flying with, well they had metal heads cheaper carbon blades, header tanks carbon tail blades and that was it. we had the full quick UK upgrades. custom canopies lights no plastic at all. the parts were metal or carbon. we could do much more than hover and turn nose in. we went away and started to learn to fly and not spend money making them look good.

| Re: What upgrades should I get?? I think the raptor 30V2 its already a good machine to start with, if you plan to upgrade parts and parts I suggest you to hold some money and jump to a Raptor 50, the 30 is very nice but power is limited, is not so stable as larger helis, if you get the 50 you can get as much as you want, you wont need anything else, with the 30 the autorotations will be harder. and you will be spending money to get what the 50 can give you at once. I see it from this point of view... if you want to learn how a nitro heli works and flight, so the 30V2 will be your choice without doubt, but if you are one of those that wants to increase the capabilities of that machine, because you are capable of and want to flight and flight, I think is better to go to the higher bird at once. Well thats my opinion, have nice flights!!!
