upside down

How do helis fly up side down. It seems to me that the blades rotation would pull it down. Do the blades flip when you go upside down. Maybe a dumb question but I just dont know.

Hi,As a newbie myself i can have a go at telling you.
When the heli is upside down the blade pitch is reversed so it fly's as if the heli is under neath the blades.
There is a switch on the transmitter to reverse the servo's needed to do inverted flying. You have to get the heli upside down first then flick the switch.
Ive done inverted on the simulator(plenty of crashing),you have got to have plenty of guts to do it without practising on the sim first.
Regards,Brian.

Hi,You have done more than me.The first time i tried to hover some wind came from nowhere and it ended up crashing.
I downloaded FMS off the internet which is a free flight sim and bought a cable that connects the transmitter to the P.C.
I will be interested to see how sim and real flight compares. Its certanly cheaper using the sim.
Regards,Brian.

The xrb is an indoors heli so I didnt have to worry about the wind. Even the A/C makes it wobbly so it would definantly crash outside. Anyway that was my second heli the first one I got about a week ago brought it outside with zero wind brought it up to about 4-5 ft and then CRASH dont know what happened but it went down fast and sideways. Didnt hurt anything just stripped the pinion gear on the main motor. Im picking that up today and Im gonna try it again. Only this time Im putting the training wheels on and taking baby steps.
