| Never underestimate the skill factor My son and i have had a blast learning to fly helis over the past year or so. We started with Spinmaster Reflex helis from the local toy store and since then have acquired a Blade CX2 and a couple of Walkera 4 channel units. My son keeps going back to the Reflex and he has been able to make it perform way beyond my expectations, he manages to navigate it throughout the house landing and taking off from small, tricky, confined spaces with precision. I have read lots of reviews of other individuals perceptions of the Reflex and have had mixed feeling of the Reflex myself, if i hadn't seen my son rippin like a pro with that little thing i never would have thought that it was capable of half of the things that he was making it do. Anyway i wanted to share that with you all, and never underestimate the skill factor. ![]() |

| Re: Never underestimate the skill factor Yes, The skill required to make these things perform is considerable. Learning to fly a heli is one of the most difficult things that I've ever attempted to master. Harder than learning a musical instrument and i've almost given up several times but it also has been a blast! I wouldn't trade it for anything and I can't wait for the day that I can come close to flying the way that you see on the videos.

| Re: Never underestimate the skill factor Probably a Justin Chi in the making ( justinchi.com - make sure to read the "Story of Justin Chi" article). I would have to say that I'm probably the most heli obsessed person with the least amount of skill in the world. I can't even hover after 4 months of trying! But I'm determined. I'll give up when I'm too old to carry a transmitter. And it's looking that way. |

| Re: Never underestimate the skill factor Never give up! You have the most difficult heli to fly in the world if you are trying the Walkera DF4. Mine almost ran me out of the hobby! You can't belive the difference going to a larger heli like the Walkera 36 or a Trex. Even bigger nitro helis are easier yet. So far the easiest heli that I've flown by far was a JR Venture 30 and it wasn't even set up correctly. So don't let the almost impossible to fly small helis run you out of the hobby.

| Re: Never underestimate the skill factor The Df4 = bad radio, bad servos, bad gyro, underpowered, unreliable, and worst but not least a TAIL MOTOR! Oh, and total screwed by breezes!
