Re: hi,new member

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the addiction, I see we have another victim

Since youve already got a CX Im assuming you can hover and fly around a bit.. Where you go next depends greatly on how much space you have to fly it. If your a club member, then Id suggest speaking with them and then getting what is most common.

In principle Id say your next step would be a trex450 size collective pitch machine. Unfortunately, to get one of those, you'll need to revise your budget up a chunk. I know it is possible to get CP machines such as walkeras for the money your talking about but I would advise you to steer clear of the very cheap machines because the electronics can be poor (of course you might be lucky).

For 300 quid you can get a blade 400 3D which is a great machine for the money ..

In the above link you'll also see a machine that would probably be good for you at 259 quid (I-GL450SEC).

Hope this helps.... Azzy

Re: hi,new member

in my opinion a step to something like the trex 450 would be worth while after a lot of practice but too big of leap from the blade cx2. trexs are also expensive as hell.. i made the jump from co-ax to cp with fixed pitches. the honeybee fixed pitch is a great light heli and it flys pretty good. its not a cp so it flys different but its a step in teh right direction. if you get good on of those after paying only about $100 USD for it, then you can make another step to a cheap honeybee king 2 (CP) and will have some good practice going into it with a cheap to repair heli like the honeybee fixed pitch is. they are also very simple and easy to work with

Esky King 2, Esky Belt CP, Trex are good helicopters for the next step. They are good quality. Esky heli is cheaper, and Trex is more expensive, but good too
