35mhz WHAT!!!!!!

Hi Guys and Gals

I have come accross this add here in the UK for A toy that opperates on the 35mhz range that is reserved for use for model aircraft.

Man if someone doesn't jump on this fast it can only lead to more RC model aircraft accidents. Here is the link,
http://gameloaded.co.uk/index.php?me...de=3104&page=3

This is bad very bad.

What do you think?

Regards and be SAFE.
Darren.

It's no different here in Singapore. Our Legal band is 29Mhz for airborne, but you see flying toys using all kinds of Frequencies ranging from 27Mhz, 35Mhz, 40Mhz,49Mhz, 72Mhz.

Unfortunately for me, my EP Caliber is 35Mhz (UK Freq), and for me to fly it, I have to be extra careful with my range check and glitch checking. For this case, if there's any interference from another device, it will be my crash.

Thats crazy,
Here in the UK the bodies that control the use and missuses of frequency are quite strict about who uses what frequency. I thought it was the same in all countries. I dont understand how if your frequency is legal 29mhz why would your local hobby store sell you a rc aircraft with 35mhz
Usually this sort of thing would be stoped in this coountry. As you can see by the comments under the bayblade, It is causing quite a rumpus.
when you think about how dangerous these helis and planes can be. I dont understand how countries can be so relaxed about regulating and enforcing strict laws to protect people.

regards,
Darren.

Well, the regulations are there, it's the enforcement part that is difficult.

It's not illegal to *sell*. Thus most of these shops simply put a big sign "for Export Use only" and they are off the hook.

When a plane goes down, many times, no one can pin point the cause of it, let alone say that it is cause by a frequency interference from an illegal source. Who's going to be around to monitor and prove it?

Yep now that is one valid point. Enforcment and monitering are both very difficult to do if the person useing the offending item chooses to do so. Of course the sad part of this is that no matter how carefull one is. There pride and joy can become trash through no fault of there own.
Thought though!!
If this is to become a more common thing then surely this is bad news for those that use PCM receivers. I would rather see the glitch and have a chance to bring the bird down, Than have PCM take that chance away from you because of some kid switching a toy on.

of course either could result in you loseing your pride and joy.
Bummer man.
