Inverted?

I have had my blacde cp for a while now and my raptor too, i want to start flying inverted and i have done enough of the sim that i think im ready for the real thing. How do i set up for inverted flight? Last time i tried to flip my cp over it crashed blades down and I am not sure why (maybe low battery power) So this time before i try anything i may regret i want to be pretty sure I am on the right track first. Any suggestions or set up instructions would be appreciated

Re: Inverted?

There are three main factors when you want to go inverted:

1. Enough negative pitch
2. Enough power
3. Heading hold Gyro.

ok #1, you have to be sure that your main blades goes at least -6 degrees, if you cannot reach this you wont be able to hold the heli upside down.

#2, You should have enough power, on the CPP I suggest to go to carbon blades which by design and weight will help the engine to give you a better performance.

#3 When you go inverted a Heading Hold gyro is extremely helpfull, remember that the "gyro" in the CPP is something like a proportional mixing, at x main blades speed you will get y tail speed, so when your go upside down and you go from positive pitch to negative pitch your torque will change a lot and the proportional mixing does not even realize it, so once you get lets say when you pull the elevator and you get 90 degrees you will see that the CPP will start a spin, and in that position you will be lost and is very difficult to gain control again. So you should get the H.H. gyro for the CPP, and a H.H. gyro for your raptor.
