Welcome to the fray

Just make sure that your G2 has a seperate receiver and esc and you will be all right. Most of the problems were caused by combining them, something that walkera changed on newer models I believe.
Also when you start out make sure that your tail servo isn't being overdriven by the gyro or it will lockup or burnout!

Ditto, What he said....

Hopefully you ordered the G2 SE it comes with Brushless motor, esc, and with LIPO If it comes with the 601 RX then I would change that out .
