Going Scale

Hey guys,
I finally got my axe, with the e-flight hl gyro, some what tuned in and very flyable. Cool. So I go down to the lhs to get a new canopy and some other odds and ends and end up bringing home an MD500E scale fusealage. My rc helicopter has transformed into the coolest toy I have ever owned. Its the best 40 bucks I've ever spent...period. So I'm in the process of making "zoomies", dual 30 cals. and even the camera. I'm going for a Little Bird from the Army. Anyways, I'm writing because there's a problem AGAIN with my tail control. My thoughts are that the scale tail section is taking up approximately 45% of the tail rotor intake area, about a 1/2" away. Anybody know whats up? The chopper will hardly yaw right with full stick and is just all over the place. Thanks.
