Re: RC helicopter from CVS for $24.99 Blue hat toy company

Hi there,

Well 24.99 is very cheap for an RC helicopter so Id be willing to bet that the heli is a Picco Z clone (I couldnt really see any info on the net re heli lite) if it is then it will be fun to play with but it will be limited to either hovering or moving forwards but it wont do both. To get a "proper" RC heli you'll need to spend fair chunk more.

Take care... Azzy

okay. I stand corrected. I that case I have no Idea what it is you are looking at but at $24.99 I would doubt it will be a fully functional heli.

I would love to go and check it out in my local CVS store but since the closest one to me is approximately 3000 miles across the atlantic ocean maybe I'll leave it for now.

Az.

Re: RC helicopter from CVS for $24.99 Blue hat toy company

HoverLites $ 24.99 at CVS Store. Ages 8+. That's me ! I bought one.
You need 8 AA batterys for the transmitter so while your shopping ?
It's really plug and play. Batterys for the Hoverlite needs four hours on the charger though. Nothing to put together or adjust. ( yet ) Controls are just Up and Down and Left and Right. No servos, just speed controlers for the main and tail rotors. Tail rotor has it's own little motor. Instuctions were really lacking on how to fly the thing. It does fly though. I sugest some open space to start. High grass and a launching board of 4 x 4 foot flat surface.
I just tested it. It spun around and went up spinning till corections got it straight. Then it started moving forward of what ever direction it stoped spinning at. From that point it kinda just flew like a airplane till I cut the main rotor speed and it spun down again. Droped kinda fast but I had trees around.
PLOP ! Surprised it didn't break. There's no spare parts with it. Have no Idea of where to get parts for it either. That help ya any ?
Broke

Re: RC helicopter from CVS for $24.99 Blue hat toy company

Seems the rotor shaft have bent a little on landing. A bit of vibration now.
Theres no trim tab on the transmiter for left and right. It's on the reciever.
It's kinda of a guess and try again thing for trimming it. Ive yet to try it again right now. For the price I thought it might be something to mess with.
It does look pretty well built for what it is. I sugest the launch platform and really high grass to land in. It needs a little clear space to fly too.
Im not a Heli Pilot either. Fixed wing I can fly. I find the Heli's interesting.
Your not gonna get much for 25 bucks and I expected that. Haven't totaly trashed it yet though ?
