Re: RC helicopter from CVS for $24.99 Blue hat toy company I bought two of these helis at CVS a few weeks ago and finally got a chance to try them this morning at a park near my house. One of the battery chargers does not work but the idea of buying two was to have spare parts. Absolutely the most fun...not necessarily well controlled...but FUN! I kept the altitude below 15 feet with the thought that crashes would be minimally damaging which proved to be correct. All "flights" were as far from obstacles as possible allowing for the drift from a slight wind. When crashes with objects were inevitable I throttled back on the collective so the rotors wouldn't smack too hard. I'm not certain that flying this simplified model will in any way prepare me for something more sophisticated later on... but did I mention that I really had fun..and both machines still run fine! All the best to the rotorjocks out there!

The Hoverlite From Blue Hat Toy Co. In My Opinion Is Trash. To Adjust Craft Spinning, You Have To Adjust The Potentiometer By Tiny Screw. After Barely Touching It, It Fell Off. I Was Never Able To Stop The Craft From Spinning. Blue Hat, You Owe Me $30.

Recently I saw a CVS ad for the HoverLite Helicopter, liked the looks of it and eventually purchased one. Once removing it from the box it came apart,(the tail section wasn't attached securely),so I returned it for another. On the second one the charger was defective, took it back for another one. The third seemed to have a good charger after I put a meter on it to check the output. Got the battery charged, then proceeded to do a test run,but nothing happened, the receiver in the copter was defective. So thinking the fourth time might be the charm I returned the third one for a fourth. This one turned out to be the worst of the bunch, bad charger, bad main rotor motor, tail section fell off,all this before I even charged the battery for a test run!!! The fourth one got returned to CVS,on this trip though I was badgered by the clerk, she said that I was breaking them and that no one else had returned any. She finally gave me my money back and I asked her if there was any way to report back to CVS Corporate on the extremely low quality of the product and she said no. After all the toying with this worthless R/C Copter,(as far as quality of the product),I would give it a thumbs down on all aspects. Even though the price was reasonable and it had good looks,I should have done some searching for reviews on the net about it first

Re: RC helicopter from CVS for $24.99 Blue hat toy company Hey folks! Though I do have a TREX SE and BCX2, my Dad and I thought it would be pretty fun to buy one of these CVS helis. Just as one of the other posts mentioned, when I tried to adjust the potentiometer the darn thing fell off and good luck putting it back on! SO...of course I returned it and got another one! This time I just tried to use my limited flying abilities to compensate for the spinning and didn't touch the p-meter. Bottom line is that I didn't fair so well and ended up in an un-recoverable crash. They still let me return it (which was very nice) but I didn't purchase another one. I am new to this hobby but what I have found to be true, as with just about everything else, is that you get what you pay for. I spend $19 on a little AirHog (picco Z type heli) and have had great fun with it flying around the office. That thing is pretty indestrucable unless your dog catches it! Anyway, my opinion is don't waste your dough on that heli. -Brett

Re: RC helicopter from CVS for $24.99 Blue hat toy company Read some posts on the Sky Srambler. Not the same aircraft as that other one I was speaking of. Looks like the Scrambler is fairly similar to the AirHog Havoc or Picco-Z. I haven't seen the Scrambler though I do have a Havoc. They are great fun and fairly easy to trim. I had to twist the boom a little and add a some weight and the little heli works great, just as you said. A lot of fun!

My grandosn just got a Sky Scrambler heli from Blue Hat toy company. It is awful, you can barely unplug the copter from the charger as the plug is so small. Well he broke it last night trying to unplug it. Total waste of money. You literally need tweezers to get the plug out. I would never buy one again.
