Re: Ni-Cd and Ni-MH AA battery got what different?

HI, I think I know what you mean. Ni-cds' have a memory, which means unless you fully dis-charge them every time, they loose their capacity to hold a full charge. Ni-MH do not have such a good memory and can hold a full charge for longer. This is a very basic discription, but should give you an idea of the differance.

hope this has been so help!

Neil..

Re: Ni-Cd and Ni-MH AA battery got what different?

Hello,

With both Ni cad and Ni/mh it is a good thing to Keep a minimum charge of 0.9volts, discharging them lower than this per cell can damage the battery.
Nicad do have a memory problem and this is definatly affected by overdischarge. Nimh tend to not develop memory as readily as nicad. Just make sure that you cells retain more than .9v and they should stay ok for longer. Also dont overcharge them. this too will affect the life of the battery.
