Re: Picco z...value for money:)

Finally uneverno, Got my Picco Z.. Only to find out it wasn't PiccoZ, it is made by San Huan.. However, I found a page once that had different names of the Picco Z, and i think it was one of them... It is packaged like one of the ones I saw on a website as well. Anyways, man this thing is so basic...Had I read a little more, I would have not bought it, I didn't realize it was only 2 channel and didn't have forward or backwards flight. I mean it is still gonna be fun to torment my toy poodle and Conure bird with, but not as fun for me as I thought it was gonna be. I'm havin' alot of fun with my Raptor though. Learning alot about setups and the importance of having a linear helicopter. I'm already looking forward to getting a Raptor 50 with a Govenor so I can do more tricks and not lose headspead as bad. Anyways, I got my money back from Hobbytron.com and I will again never order anything from them..Took me from December 12th to NOw to finally fly the Picco Z.

Also if anyone wants a PiccoZ and doesn't want to go through what me or others have gone through with certain websites, then go to WWW.Radioshack.COM and get one from them, guaranteed shipment in 3 days...

I'm having a great time with mine. It's fun to drop it to floor level and then shoot it back up when the cat get's close

My apartment isn't big enough that forward flight is much of an issue. In fact, if it were capable (and you can weight the nose to make it so) I'd be spending all my time keeping it off the walls. I can pretty much make it go where I want to just by which direction I turn it, (turn right and it loses altitude and moves forward, opposite for left) I'm using it to get more instinctive about nose in flight and holding a constant altitude. Since the thing is slow and pretty much indestructible, it's a great learning tool. I've bashed it into the TV, myriad walls, the ceiling and even the fireplace screen while I had a fire burning, and it just keeps going. Also don't have to worry about trashing my $700 heli when I turn the wrong direction by accident

The weather here's too crappy to fly right now, and this is a lot more fun than the sim. Besides, the cat doesn't care about the sim
