Well I'm pretty much screwed as for getting it before Christmas. I was making last post when teh wife came in and by me not thinking, I explained to her how cool this little heli looked and what fun its gonna be when I order it. Suddenly its a good Christmas item for me and She'll take care of it. So now I prolly gotta wait til Christmas Day. And what fun is that gonna be if I get a Raptor V2 and that on Christmas day, which do you suppose I'll be wanting to fly more. I doubt the Picco will even come out of the box til Christmas night at the earliest. Of course thats assuming I'm even getting the raptor. I put all the Copters I wanted (in order) on a list. And she frequently tells me its not gonna be the Christmas I was hoping for (which means it is the Christmas I was hoping for..I think). So anyways. I'll let you know in about 13 days how it went. That is if they're not out of them by the time she placed the order.

grrr, still no Heli
After many attempts to communicate with them via email and phone, I have had to cancel my order with hobbytron. The number is constantly busy and they won't respond to my emails. Couldn't even get through to cancel so put in dispute with PayPal. Rat bastiges

If anyone knows where this is available, please let me know. I got the week off next week and wanna torture the cat

Patience Patience!!! I know the feeling....I am going to wait till well into the new year before trying to get one......I got the same feeling trying to get spares direct from century once upon a time......really annoying....so had to settle for the UK supplier.

Flashed up the Predator yesterday...minus blades...just wanted to engine test...making sure the throttle cut works...very important for ic type helis.

Flashed it up again today....throttle cut works fine after a bit of adjusting was carried out....blades are balanced and ready to fit...tonight I have to go through the rotor head to make sure all is well....and locktited

Patience though.....your time will come....and so will the cats it might eat your little heli....like a snack!!!

Hey,
our company shuts down for the holidays, so I'm going to take the time to - finally - get the 3D sorted and, weather permitting, airborn. ('bout the only time I ever get a whole week off at once - wish I lived on your side of the planet - weather stinks here right now.) I need to install the aluminum swing arms yet, and don't wanna do it in stages from one night to the next. It's on the "workbench" (living room table) right now. I came home from work the other night and noticed some very small tooth marks in one of the main blades Think I'm gonna have to spring for CF blades so she doesn't damage them while chewing on the heli Either that, or I could get smart and put it away.
I can't even play with my slot cars anymore. First couple times it was funny, but there's no way to keep her from chasing the little electric mice. If I lock her in the bedroom she just howls 'til I let her out...

I think I may have found a source for the picco, but I'm not ordering until they tell me whether they have them in stock. If not, I'll just wait for Radio Shack to get them. The local store expects them in the next week or so.
At least with the heli, I can fly out of reach

Page says they have them in stock right now. However..they're 99 bucks to get them before christmas...doubtfull. I'm not doin it thats for sure. I am going to wait til Middle next week and then if nothing still then I'll dispute it.

unverno let me know if thats what your order said also, cause I'm really curious to see if it said the same thing. Also Nice response earlier to the Syntax request. That would have taken me a week to write. I w0uld h4v3 just s41d f00k 0ff d00d...

Hmmm,
my order may have fallen through the cracks somehow then. I was never given a UPS tracking number. Trouble is, as I said, that I can't get through to them via email or phone, so I don't really know. For now, I placed it in dispute with PayPal, but if I can get ahold of them and get it sorted, that's easily rectified.
If you've got a tracking number, you're way ahead of the game from where I am. Probably an honest mistake then, but I'll prolly have to wait 'til after xmas to figure that out.

Yes, Radio Shack does carry them, but their on-line store is currently out of stock. I checked with 2 local stores and same thing. They said they sold out within 1/2 an hour or so, but expected more in about two weeks. That was about a week and a half ago.

they finally responded to a email that has a number for us to call, but seems to be just a recording. Mailbox full is what it says at the end of the recording. I reckon so. All these orders that are not being processed or shipped out. Never doing business with HobbyTron again and would add them to a list if there was one of "Dont buy from List" Might be a good thread to start
