| tightening main blades How tight should the main blade bolts be? Loose enough for the blades to balance out if necessary I have read

| Re: tightening main blades Hi there, There are 2 prescribed ways to check. 1. If you hold the heli on its side the blades shouldnt move, but if you give the head a tap while its on its side, they should give a bit. 2. Hold the flybar at the paddle and pull the blade from the end. If the flybar bends slightly then the blade moves, then they are right. Personnaly, I use a slightly different way. I check that if you leave them, they "stick" and when pulled they sort of "pop" then move freely. BTW, if they are too loose or tight when you spin the heli up, it will be obvious, cause the heli will lurch violently on the start up or will vibrate badly as the headspeed comes up.
