Re: Walkera 22E

Here's something interesting, the exceed eagle 50 has a 10.8 volt pack(9 cells@1.2v) and the walkera 22E has a 9.6 volt pack. The more cells in parallel the longer the pack lasts- the more cells in series the higher the voltage and the higher the rpm the motor runs at-hence the insane rotor head speed of the eagle 50. My falcon 40 has the same 370 motor as the eagle 50 as well, but is smaller and lighter and has way longer flight times.
So Im not sure what Exceed was thinking here, for longer flights with better performance I think the motor should be upgraded to a 400 and li-po batteries used, cut the weight and increase the power at the same time.
The heli seems a little weak in the duration department to say the least.
Best of luck

Re: Walkera 22E

Hello medstudd26
I just assembled my rebuilt rotor head, to level the flybar I turned the TX and heli on to level the swashplate, then turn it off. I level everything starting at the swashplate moving up. The flybar is attached to the rotor holders through the adj linkage, if the rotors are at zero pitch the flybar should be level.Zero the rotor pitch then put a level on the flybar. It is important to make sure the fly bar paddles(wing) are at the same pitch (zero) as the rotor, and most important the flybar paddles must be exacly the same distance out from the rotor hub and level with each other. Then check the main rotor alignment, get a straight piece of cardboard with a half circle cut in the center this cutout goes around the rotor head, you then have a straight edge to align both rotors too. Next run up the heli on the ground and check the blade tracking , they say to eyeball it, I use a cheap 8$ laser pointer at 60 degree angle to illuminate the rotor blades, you adjust tracking until the laser lines become one line, and you are bang on no guessing.
Hope this helps
Good luck
