| Largest Electric Morn'n fellow flyers, I was a wonder'n, ... I tried a search and found a few details but noth'n to give me a lead. What would be the largest class chopper for electric ??? I've read the T-rex and a couple others, and something about a Mid range ?.! Isn't the Walkera #4, or the Colco Thunderbird considered a micro ??? What would classify as a Mid size/range chopper ??? Would you have a web site we could go to and read up a little on these BIG birds ??? ![]() Thanks a whole heap,

| Re: Largest Electric Ok size's of electricks are kinda a mystery to newcomers. micro includes 180 to 300 size ie. walkera #4, blade cx, blade cp, hbcp2. mini is trex, zoom/zap, walkera 36, x400 etc. 370 to 400 size helis mid is 450 up to 30 size electrics. (this is where things get foggy) and full is electrics are 30 to 90 size electrics. ie rex 600, excel ion, raptor conversions and so on. The ion is a nice flying bird and can take a good beating from what I've seen. So the answer on how big elects get is same size as nitros. Thats also includes price geting as big. lol ![]()

| Re: Largest Electric Quote:
Me I like it all and as budget alows will expand out more. If there was a small trex sized nito/gaser that too whould be cool. Me I'm puting money away for heli stuff and watching the new modles coming out and new battery technology like this new 10c charge 30c discarge lion bat to see if it gets worked into lipos. Plus the price of higher lipos is coming down as they become more and more mainstriem. They are hiting rc car and truck market too. Goodby nicad, hello lipo. Black and decker and crafts man are reportedly studying lion/lipo tech for cordless powertools. The most important thing to remember is look at startup cost, parts price and avalibilaty, cost of flying, and the required space and conditions for flight. Dont forget that looking good to you will play a role too. ![]()
