| Metal Flake paint I've been having some radio range problems during a range check. Does PlastiKote Metal flake paint have the ability to cause radio interference. In doing engine-on range testing, my receiver keeps going into failsafe mode and dropping the throttle to 25%. I'm using a revolution whip antenna and futaba 9CHP radio. Any ideas on what to test? |

| Update I tested whether or not my paint theory was correct by range testing with and without the canopy, and it turned out to not be the cause. It turns out that my receiver goes into failsafe mode between 27-34 seconds after it gets reset. I don't think I'm losing signal since it passed an engine-on range test and it still goes into failsafe when I'm standing 20 feet away with my radio antenna fully extended. The failsafe is currently set up to adjust the throttle to 18% when it loses receiver signal. It goes into failsafe whether the engine is is throttled up, or just idleing. Any ideas on why a receiver would behave like this? It's brand spankin' new. |
