Why do small crashes look so bad?

Mother earth got hungry today and heli was the main dish. My gyro reset in mid hover and when it came back to life spin, whip, smack, pow. Wish i had ben recording it. She spon, twisted then whent splat. 6 times around befor hiting the curb and splat. My kids whent Yay dady you crashed (thier favorite action) at that point I wanted to cry.

When I took a closer look at the carnage, it wasn't too bad. bent tail boom, broken bell mixer arm, and toasted tail motor and gear box. I had the mixer arm and straitened the tail boom. As for the tail rotor........ run to lhs and no parts. wait whats this- is there still hope- can I still fix my birdy with no shiping. Yes.... da ta da da.... Its ducted tail fan. I snatched it right up and am now waiting on glue and paint to dry. Picts to come when I'm done. but hay thats only 4 crashes in 32 flights. I dont count emergancy landings as crashes and dont think any one else should. If you land under controll you still landed. From now on I will video my out of gorage flights.

Ok repairs compleet. have yet to flight test.

some repairs are temporary fix till i get parts but she is air worthy.
