Question Gyro, what to get???

I'm a very much newbie to the heli scene, and could use any suggestions you might have. I'm looking to get a better gyro for my Shuttle ZXX. Some choices I'm keeping my eye on are, Revolution PZ-200; Futaba GY501 AVCS; PG2000-II dual rate piezo; JR 550T; Thunder Tiger TG-8000; JR NEJ-120S; Futaba G301; JR NEJ-1000; Futaba GY240 head-holding; Airtronics SG-XBB. Are any of these ones to stay away from, or any a much better choice. I have a JR XP652 radio and a JR700 receiver. Since I know nothing about them yet, I'm hoping someone can help me out, Thanks

gyros

Ive tried quite a few gyros and know from experience that there are good ones as well as bad ones . Out of you list I can definatly recomend the gy501 this is by far the best gyro that i have tried to date and still have on my Moskito, others you mentioned that i think are good are the 460 and 550t by JR both are extremely good and easy to set up. CSM gyros are good if you get a good one regardless of which type but in a box of 10 you could probebly pick out 3 good ones. My own personal choise is the JR460 t of which I have five , hope this helps

Gyro's

Thanks Nigel for the info. Want to get rid of one of yours, sounds like you have a bunch. Just kidding, you probably have a use for all of them. I might go for a JR since my radio and receiver are JR, but will keep in mind what you said. Thanks again

gyro

With all of the gyros that I mentioned and all that I didnt it is also very importent to get the maximum ability out of them by useing either a digital servo or a super servo. It realy annoys me when you go to a shop in the UK and they sell you a cheep gyro and cheep servo knowing full well that either youll be back for something better or even worse back for a crash kit, so take my advise get a decent gyro and servo and youll find that you can forget the tail is there untill you have to make a turn.
I realy wish that I could have known this when I first started it would have saved me a fortune, best of luck Nigel
