Question Shuttel plus HELP

OK bad speller, I have a shuttle plus and it keeps eating tail belts and gears. the belt slides up and off the gear or wear right thought the block above it. has anyone ells had this problem. The only thing that I can think of is that the tail boom is a little bent and i can not see it?

I own a Shuttle Z-TS which may be a different design to your helicopter.

On mine, the following items are in a line from the bottom up:
- Engine
- Clutch
- gear that drives the main rotor
- bearing that is seated in the main frame
- gear that the tail rotor belt is looped around
- another bearing that is seated in the main frame
- the connection that I put my starter shaft into

So there is no way for my tail rotor belt to ride up and off the gear as yours is doing.

But mine could wear throug the block (that seats the upper bearing) - although I suspect the tail-rotor belt would be hurt first.

I'd check to see if my belt was running at right-angles to the gear. If this wasn't so, the belt would ride up the slight angle and begin rubbing against one of the bearing mountings.

If convenient, I'd also look to have the helicopter checked over by friends at a local club or in the local model shop (neither option open to me currently).
