Re: tail rotor

Take the belt and turn it the other way....or twist it the other way...pay attention to how you do this.

Better to loosen the boom off and remove the belt off the capstan...gently rotate it the other way...but you must be aware not to twist it round more.
Refit and try again.

Not being funny but please give more detail...type of heli type of servo, radio and gyro...quite a few people here are familiar with setups and so on.

Re: tail rotor

I had a Nexus 30 as my first heli! had loads of fun with it...lasted 16 hrs until I totalled the thing...my own silly fault.

Ok, wire drive...maybe the tail rotor blades are on the wrong way round? the pitch control for the tail blade grips is the leading edge...or the front which will give a clue.

Apart from that its pretty much impossible to get it to drive the wrong way.

Looking at my two helis here, a Sceadu and a Predator...they rotate anti clockwise...looking directly at the tail rotor that is.

looking from behind the heli the tail rotor is on the right hand side? I say this because its possible to get it the wrong way and place it on the left side.

Which CSM gyro is it? I had a CSM 200 on my Nexus...worked well enough but I dont know if they work with a Digital servo. I used a normal servo...worked well enough.

Take care of the Nexus, parts are hard to find now arent they?

That's the way it should spin when viewing the heli from the right side. It will work either way but there is an efficiency advantage to having the upwardly moving blade be the one that's closest to the body of the heli. That puts it closer to the downwash of the main rotor which gives it an advantage of relative airspeed.
