King Bee 2

Hello all, Im new at this and I am having issues with my king 2. When I power up and lift off it goes in to uncontrollable spin to the left and nothing i do stops it. I have checked the tr and it functions as it should and have tried many different adjustments which do absolutely nothing. please help.

Re: King Bee 2

Sheldon,
Check the easy stuff - does your tail rotor spin counter clockwise as you view from right side of heli? If not belt is installed wrong.
Is gyro increasing pitch on tail rotor when you swing nose to left? ( it should)
Is gyro (EK2-0704) set to REVERSE, and sensitivity set to about 60-70% to begin setup?
Luck,
Vince

Cool Re: King Bee 2

I have a honey bee king 2 also and mine did that. but I toasted my cheap esky motor before I got it sorted it out.. in process of ordering a new outrunner and speed controler. before I can try this again. im not an expert on this but check the hover pitch knob on the left side someone has suggested this to me. I believe this needs to be set to 0. the king uses a belt drive to power the tail.

what seemed to be happening was there was not enough power going to the tail because it was lifting off too soon. the rpms were not high enoough to give the tail the power it needed. by changing the hover pitch it won't lift off till the engine rpm is higher giving the tail more rpms.
this is the point the factory motor smokes and melts down. so you need to put a new 3700 outrunner and speed controler.

don't take my word im still figureing this out too. also try youtube there are great setup videos on there.
