Question how does it work???

Hi everybody. i have had a picooZ for a week and im happy learning to fly it.
But i have 2 questions: 1) is it possible to fly it as in the video (in youtube): "picooz and honeyBee buzzing round japanese room" or is that just a cheat video, or a modified picooZ?? it seems a 6 channel handle.
and 2) how does the right and left stick affect the mechanism in order to change diretion? is it magnetic? or mechanical?? please someone take the time to explain it to me. Thank you very much.

Re: how does it work???

Ok, #1, yes, you can fly at will with this tiny things, but indoors. (but you need to add some weight at the nose to go forward, see below)
#2 Here the Piccoz use a physical theory called torque-induced precession, the Picooz rotor is not design to go forward or backwards as normal helicopters, it just gives you more or less lift, but it has a second upper blade which balance the flight and keeps the heli stable.
Hold the Piccoz in your hand, apply throttle an move the nose down, this is a normal tendency when you go on normal flight, look the upper blade it will try to react against the movement due the theory mentioned above, this feedback reaction gives you the control to fly, but in order to go forward you have to add some weights at the nose to force this reaction. the good news is that the torque preccesion ends when you change the nose direction 180 degress and starts to build it up again, so you can actually stop and go at will (just change the nose direction)

Re: how does it work???

ahhhh, i got it. thank you very much garcia. Fue ud muy amable. Pero por mas que trato....I mean, i have been trying hard and i couldn't control it "at will": when i turn just a little bit to the left, it keeps turning alone without control. I guess it is just lack of practice, so i would like to open a "piloting techniques section" for people to share their experience. Again: mil y mil gracias.

Re: how does it work???

Hi New.pilot, si se puede volar, si el trim no te permite ajustar el spinning, revisa que las helices del rudder esten a 90 grados de las helices principales, usalmente se tuerce y no te permite ajustarlo.

Saludos
