tail rotor question

i have a quick question. i just got my HeliMax Axe CP (this is it so you don't have to hunt around to see it (URL removed) today and have flown it twice today. Although, i have observed that if i use the tail rotor to turn right, it works just fine. However, if i try to make it turn left all it does is make the tail rotor stop. So is it supposed to turn? Or does the motion of the main rotor make it turn, i don't know because i am a complete newb and i haven't made it off the ground, and i sort of... kind of... put the main rotors in the wrong way... but that irrelevant, that just shows how much of a newb i am . The tail rotor has its own independent motor if that helps. So can anyone please help a complete newbie out

The tail motor will slow depending on which way you are turning...To be honest the tail motor type helis are fun...but they are kind of limited. I dont know if there is an upgrade to turn this heli into a proper shaft drive tail rotor...its worth considering.

I realise this hobby has all things for all people, if the Heli flys ok and you are happy then fine...do be aware that the tail motors dont last a long time.

The tail rotor is there to counter the twist or 'torque' from the main rotor...so the tail motor type will speed up to turn one way...and slow to turn the opposite way.

lol thank you for the reply but it turns out that the main rotor problem WAS relevant. i made it 3 feet off the ground with full control... then i landed too hard and broke a part ah well it is only a 4 dollar piece
