Blade Cp Flipping too slow?

Been a while since I posted here but just ran into a new problem.

I recently got my BCP upgraded with aerobatic upgrade, and took it outside today to fly. Did a few circuits, then headed off at about 40ft and tried to do a loop. The heli finally made it inverted by about 5ft off the ground. Picked it up, went off again and tried a roll this time. Actually made it inverted, and almost back to normal when it hit the ground. It is very good at doing stall turns, but thats about all it can do without slamming into the ground.

Any ideas?

John

Re: Blade Cp Flipping too slow?

Hi John,

Completely silly question but you ARE going into Idle up and then the heli goes over, you ARE putting in negative pitch arent you?.

The reason I ask is that if you dont put in negative pitch a loop can result in a big loss of height and it sounds like whats happening.

If you are putting in neg pitch, check that you are getting negative pitch on a pitch guage with the stick down. Ideally you should be getting about +10 Degrees to -10 Degrees.

Also Id consider being a bit higher that 40ft.

Hope this helps... Azzy

Re: Blade Cp Flipping too slow?

Yep, idle up and negative pitch, exactly like I practiced on FsOne. Not sure exactly how much negative pitch I am getting but I followed this guide: http://www.bladecprepair.com/man_mr_...djustment#zero

Figured 40ft would be enough, but I'll try more next time. It just seems to me that the thing is rolling/flipping way too slow. I know sims arent perfect, but at least on FsOne it flips pretty fast.

Re: Blade Cp Flipping too slow?

Okay, In that case, there probably isnt enough travel on the swash, check out how much deflection the paddles get when you apply full elevator / aileron and try to increase it by as much as possible by changing the endpoints of the servos with your transmitter. The other thing you can try is moving the linkages out by a hole on the servo horns. This will increase the movement that the swash makes and increase your roll / pitch rate. Be careful while doing this cos its easy to make things bind at full throws.

Take care... Azzy

Try moving the flybar weights in to the rotor head...
