AR6200 Wiring & Misc Please help

Forgive me all, im on my first build.

I have the GY401 gyro, and I have plugged the new digital servo S9527 in to a step down regulator to get the right voltage. Now, the gyro has the two sets of wires. One of them for the speed gain... anyway, the connectors have a slight notch on them which means I cant plug them into my AR6200 receiver... I was wondering, do I just file these notches off? I dont know which channels to connect the other wire to. The Gyro going to rudder, does the other go to the Aux channel? Or are they notched for a reason, like do I need a BEC? Another thing I have noticed, what goes into the "Gear" channel? I can work out where two of my swash servo's go, but not the one at the back, thats facing in.

Please have patience with me, I really am trying to get upto speed watching some of rays dvd's however, I have the ECCPM edition and it doesnt cover wiring the transmitter. I guess things will be easy once ive finished my first one. I have to admit, assembling the kit correctly has been challenging for me, but if I were to make another already I have learnt so much. Plus im having a lot of fun

Thanks for the help.

Futaba plugs have a key which you may need to cut off to make them fit other connectors. The gyro connector with just one wire is for the mode/sensitivity and it can go to any unused channel, such as the gear. Adjust the endpoints of that channel to get the sensitivity you need. Any value above 50% adjusts the sensitivity in heading hold mode, and any value below 50% adjusts the sensitivity in normal mode. The closer you get to either 0% or 100% the greater the sensitivity. The middle, 50%, is sort of a no man's land... don't use that. In fact, I think you need to be at least 10% away from it to keep from confusing the gyro. For starters you might try setting the endpoints to 10% and 90%. When you turn the receiver on you shoud already have the transmitter on and it should be telling the gyro to be in heading hold mode. Once the gyro light comes on you can switch to normal mode to carry the heli around, then switch to heading mode before takeoff.

The servos that connect to the aileron and collective channels go to the swash connections on the sides, and the one in the middle (front or back) goes to the elevator.

Here's an article about setting up the ccpm system.
