Talking Is this normal?!

I have a hirobo ZXX and im using Byrons 10% fuel.
The thing I think is weird about my heli is that it starts to lift off the ground when the throttle stick is about 75% up (I thought it would be about 25% till lift off). Do I have to do some tuning?
and it seems to cosume loads of fuel!!! or maybe I'm too much used to cars

hey!! I tried turning the knob 2 clicks clockwise (the small knob that has this clicking device) and it worked better... But i dont dare to turn it more cause I dont know when it is supposed to be right and because... Well, yo should always have it a little rich...what I've been doing is having the needle at 1 1/2 turns from closed and play a little with the mixture needle (it's the screw inside the throttle lever)....It improves things but I can?t get it to work all the way and factory setting didn't work either. I don't know if living at 6000 ft above sea level has to do with the problem...I'll keep at it and hope I get it working right!

What do you have your Throttle curve and pitch curves
set at.
engine tuning wont change the stick position for hovering.
Some people like to learn to hover at 3/4 stick because it makes
it easer latter on when you start to learn inverted flight

well, in my case, I have 0% to -1? 50% to 6? and 100% to 12?.....The heli won't lift off until throttle is at 90% and hovers at 75 or 80%...forward flight like this will be a disaster! I think this is not right, or is it? My best guess is engine tunning since I'm flying with a brand new clutch, also, when throttle is >50% and blades begin to add pressure to the motor, RPM starts to drop slightly and when I bring it down to 30 or 40% and blades are maybe 2-3?, RPM rises again .....the engine is a OS .50 SXH. Also, I thought my training gear was to heavy but this wasn't the problem either.

Turn your mixture screw untill its sounds best, usually highest reving point, then enrichen it a little, then set the idle. I may be wrong. I was a motorcycle/car mecanic and all carbs were setup this way, I can't see model carbs being differant

try 2 turns out on the big needle, and the low end needle put it back to stock....it sounds to me like your engine is over heating....dont know what the weather is like, but thats my guess. after a flight, feel the backplate of the motor. you should be able to keep your finger the for 3 seconds....1 missippisipi 2missi...etc
