| Motor Problems Well, I started up the motor and everything seems to be running fine (with the heli) but the motor keeps stalling and stopping at idle and looses RPM at full throttle. Thankfuly it runs fine at hovering because there was no mishap while the heli was hovering but I'm sure there's going to be trouble for forward flight and believe me, landing is dangerous when the engine stalls. Would anybody know what would the setting be (needle and mixture) for 2500 mts. above sea level (about 8200 ft.). I hope someone has an anwer because tunning while the engine is running is almost impossible because it is cased behind the gear box (Moskito .50) and I don't want to ge a finger chopped off, so this must be done while it is turned off. Thanks, |

| its not always a good idea to buy a gas heli.. all though most electric helis say that they must be used indoors they can be used outdoors and should be used outdoors as long as its not raining. electric helicopters are much easier and cheaper to operate and do the same job.. bottom line, my advice is to get an electric.. saves u time and money |

I have spent more on my Micro than I have on my Shuttle! Quote:
Unless you spend a fair amount of cash on a good CP electric (generally as much as you would spend on a nitro) it will not have the same abilities as a nitro, ie inverted flight, auto's, 3D manouvers. Micros are fine for what they are, but they are not anything special. Also Nas, have a look at the date this thread was started! 28/07/03. Thats almost a year ago! |
