Question Rotor head speed - pitch

Hi being new to the heli seen, but having my Raptor V2 (39H0 professionaly set up. I still have problems when in normal mode hovering. Idle up one's OK but the head speed is 1600+ to get into hover.
Can any one explain how I adjust the heli or my JR 378 PCM radio? I have tried most things but have just knocked out all the settings my school set up - oops! Your help much appreciated...

Head speed is a factor of Throttle setting and Pitch...

Throttle setting constant, higher pitch = lower head speed
Throttle setting constant, lower pitch = higher head speed

If you're getting a higher than expected RPM during hover,
it simply means that you have a lower than normal pitch setting
at the particular throttle setting that gets it to hover.

What you can do is to increase the pitch at the hover point by
about 1 degree. ie.. Get your heli up to hover again, take note
of the throttle stick position.

Shut down the heli. Move your throttle stick to the hover position. Increase your blade pitch by a bout 1 degree.

Fire it up again, and try hovering. You should be able to get
it to hover at a lower head speed this time.
