| Hello All, I wonder if anyone coud give me some suggestions with lubrication. My Raptor30 V2 manual says noting of what I should be greasing or oiling in order to reduce friction and ware. I grew up on good old WD40 so I have just about everyting that moves soaked in it but im sure that is probably not the best way to go. I know bearings just about everywhere else should be packed with grease, is it the same for RC Helis???If anyone has any sugestions please let me know. Happy Landings CM |

| Re: Grease, oil, when, where, what type HELP... Many use dielectric grease, 3- n- 1 oil, and automatic transmission fluid. I use 3-1 on all moving parts around shaft and swash plate. I use the ATF on the auto-rotation bearing. I don't use the grease, too thick for me and may cause a lock up. I don't do anything to the rest of the bearings. Don't oil your ball links, re size if tight. There are many other opinions on this one. |

| Re: Grease, oil, when, where, what type HELP... My Helis seem to self lubricate, with the residue from the smoke etc....I used to grease the tail drive cogs..inside the gear casing...but its hardly worth it. I rarely oil the swashplate, the main cog on the main shaft needs nothing....grease this and it will attract dirt. The pitch slider on the tail rotor needs a drop of oil....I usually put a drop on this every time I fuel up.....but be careful of the ball link underneath,,,this will need to be checked that its not smothered in oil....try to keep this clean if possible. | Graphite lube-works great for intricate mechanisms and never gets sticky.

| Re: Grease, oil, when, where, what type HELP... sewing machine oil would is good. They use the same type of nylon gear that sewing machines use. Some oils and greases may soften nylon gears. Some oils may also have parifin wax in them that will build up and tarnish causing things to stick or lock up.

| Re: Grease, oil, when, where, what type HELP... I use Silicon Grease for lube. It doesnt collect too much dust, it sticks nice and it doesnt destroy plastic or especially rubber. Take Care.... Azzy
