Smile Trade Century Hawk Pro for T-Trex?

Ive got a Century Hawk Pro with ASP36H engine and JR500 Lail lock Gyro with matching digital tail servo, complete with Hi-tech servos, just add TX and RX and it flies! It comes with the starting probe and electric starter, onboard RX batt indicator - only flew a couple of times and is immaculate without a scratch!!!

I want to trade it for a T-Rex ccpm with brushless motor and ECS, with servos and prefeblay Heading lock Gyro. Any takers????

Re: Trade Century Hawk Pro for T-Trex?

Hi there, interesting proposal for a swap....I am giving serious thought about getting a TRex myself....I will keep my Hawk Sport though...I might have to mess around and get some Nitro fuel...which is a bit of a chore.

I have now got myself a small indoor heli...its a Twister Bell 47G which is co axial and is a great little machine....the 800mah Li Po is something else...its giving me consistent 13 minute flights...before landing to recharge..which takes an hour or so.

So....a TRex is next on the cards for sure....with two battery packs or so it should give a nice daily 'fix'

Cool Re: Trade Century Hawk Pro for T-Trex?

Hey Rob, hows life!

Yeah, I would like to keep the Pro, and just add a TREX to my arsenal, but eish! the money, she's not big... Fuel is unbelievably expensive! Got a Honeybee CP2, flown that for about 6 weeks or so, tweeky little thing, but fun. I get about 15 min dong circuits and so from a 1000mah Li-po, quite good. battled a bit initailly with blade pitch angles, but once i got it right, I got 50% more out of the batt as well!! Amazing hou sensitive the heli is when adjusting the pitch, even more than the nitro heli1

Well, i'm gonna miss the Hawk, but the electric bug has bitten, maybe one day I'll return to nitro, one day when i'm grown-up and work for money!!

Got some replies over the week end on the swap, ill just check it out, maybe there is a match for me! (by the way, how's the new job? )

Catch ya later

Re: Trade Century Hawk Pro for T-Trex?

The Job is good....very good....its a great opportunity and its what I want to do.

The Workers and Aircrew are generally a good bunch....they have plenty of interest in my Little Bell 47....my Boss has got a simulator and is looking at going electric.....probably a TRex....it could be tamed down a bit for learning...I am sure.

I will get some Nitro fuel sometime....its just the silly 'hazardous' status....I am sure it is...getting it in quantity is the only answer....the average can...4 ltrs or so....is around £17 (sterling) so yes...its pricey.

Good luck with the swap!!

Re: Trade Century Hawk Pro for T-Trex?

Hey Rob!

Glad to hear that youre enjoying the job. Working on Real helo's now, right? Recently completed all my Commercial Pilots Licence Theoretical exams! Went well, got them all!! Completed my night rating, busy with my Instument rating at this time, enjoy every moment of the course. Have about a year to go still (I'm working for 43 Airm School, they pay me four flying hours per month for me to work as ATC in the control tower- check out the webpage 34airschool.com) One of the biggest airschools in the southern hemispere!

Would much rather do the comm heli course, but thats *&%^$# expensive, like R2400 per hour (about 200 pounds/ hour). On what types do you work? You must keep in touch. Enjoy your day Cheers!

Frikkie
