Plastic Trash?

Sorry for the "dumb questions" as far as you guys whom have been doing this forever. But my Main Rotor Blades appear to have a plastic coating on them like a shrink wrap. Do you take that cover off before flying? These are stock wood blades (I guess) on my Raptor 30.

I'm pretty sure you keep the shrink wrap on. Some places even sell custom made shrink wrap that you can get your name or something put on.

hi

yes do not remove the wrap or the wood will soak in all the oil
from the engine , this protecs the blade and makes it stronger

steff

Re: Plastic Trash?

It's also a safety issue. If you fly with bare wood your asking for a splinter shower.
