| Hi Rotorz! I'm still tinkering with this electric heli I dug out of the garage after 3 years being packed in a box! I've only got old NiCads. They seem to give about 4 minutes' worth of flying. (Tonight I've spend several hours taking the head off and making sure everything is nice and free - then I balanced the head and blades and have just stuck it back together. Now.... this is all without any tools like blade balancers, so I wait to see how it flies! The way I got the head balanced was to do the best I could initially, make a mark with TipEx on the flybar, spin up the helicopter, and if it wobbled move the flybar slightly, and make my adjustments that way. *VERY* tedious, but I was in the mood :-)) |

| Hi Darren I have owned a few E heli's, my current weapon is an ECO 8. This heli is as standard OK ish, but what would you expect for less than ?120 for the airframe. It is however loadsa fun and I get around 8 min hovering with 2000mAH ni cads and 10 min ish on 2400mAh packs. In forward flight duration is longer of course because of transitional lift. I am looking at using Li Lion or even Li Poli as flight times of over an hour have been recorded with these packs. I dont know of any one in the UK seriously using these expensive packs but they are out there. Let us all know how the flights go Happy Landings |
