Celectra 1-3 Lipo Charger

I recently bought an all in one kit which came with a Yuntong 2100 3 cell Lipo battery and an Celectra 1-3 Cell Lipo charger. The battery came partially charged but while programming the ESC it went dead. I plugged it into the charger following all instructions but when i press the start button the charger indicates that I have the wrong number of cells chosen for charging and wont let me charge. If I move the selector switch to 1 Cell instead of 3, it then will allow me to charge. Is this ok or is something #$%@ up here? I did a voltage test on the Lipo battery and it shows 4.5 volts.
