| Re: fatal heli injury? In the past I've had a couple of instances where my heli has started without me even touching the controls. 0 to 2000 rpm in 2 seconds, and no control! (and I still don't know what caused it.) All I could do was run away ( Thankfully I was there alone, and let the heli crash itself). These things ARE dangerous, and should be treated as such. As the box says.. 'This is not a toy!', in the same way that a rip-saw, or nail gun is not a toy, and you wouldn't let a child or a drunk have a rip-saw or nail gun. Fun and exciting, hell yes, dangerous, also yes, but a lot less so when care is taken. Be safe, do your preflight checks, fingers crossed, you should be Ok.

| Re: fatal heli injury? hope you are not to squeemish this is a photo of a main blade strike on my middle finger for which i spent two days in hospital the blade also cut my thumb nail in half and i had to have it surgically removed (nail not thumb fortunately) this was through testing my walkera in my kitchen when it suddenly and for no reason i can see went full throttle tried to grab it by the tail to stop it chopping up my kitchen big mistake on my part as the main blade struck my fingers fracturing the bones in my thumb and middle fingers and severely cutting them as you can see learnt an important lesson the hard way and i hope the photo goes some way to make others realise what can happen if it had been a child getting its fingers in those blades i would say more than likely that they would have lost them completely helicopters can hurt you beware ! ![]() |

| Re: fatal heli injury? Theres only one thing to say on this one... OUCH!. I hope you are on the mend now Disaster Area. Just goes to show you that what seems like a kids plaything to many can produce injuries similar to what a power tool could do. Take care... Azzy
