My Thumb found out the hard way

Hello all,I recently had an unfortunate accident while trying to fly a new bird. After putting together one I purchased on Ebay,(without the instructions) I was ready for it`s first flight. When I throttled up she wanted to spin, so like a dummy I held the tail just inside the tailrotor.Long story short.........so is my thumb by a nail. She`s a concept 30 with a 32 motor and wood blades. You would sware a surgeon had done the cutting with a knife, cut through the bone like butter. After reading what I have written here I feel even more disgusted, cuz I know better. But maybe someone might read this and learn from my stupidity. They are not toys and must be treated as such. And no way am I gonna give it up,I love it and cant wait to 3D. Goodluck all and enjoy, what a rush it is to fly.

Re: My Thumb found out the hard way

Sorry to here you had this experience, I am glad that you were not hurt more seriously though. The concept 30 is capable of much worse if not treated with the care that ALL heli's require.

Good luck with future startups. remember to take it slow and SAFE. Anything goes wrong shut the heli down with your radio DONT grab it. Even a heli that has the engine shut down but the blades still spinning can cut you badly.
Take care peeps.
